YOU could be eligible for foreclosure review

Foreclosure Review

While many banks were scrambling to deal with the growing defaults and delinquencies on mortgages,  many began to fraudulently execute ownership documents related to the notices sent to delinquent borrowers and then filed with the courts to process possibly hundreds of thousands of foreclosures with forged and phony paperwork. The full extent of these activities is still coming to light but it looks like now some homeowners will be receiving some well-deserved payback.

CNN Money is reporting that “more than 4 million mortgage borrowers who were foreclosed on between 2009 and 2010 will have a chance to request an independent review of how their foreclosure process was handled.” Should the review find that their foreclosure was mishandled, they may be eligible for compensation for their losses.

If you believe you may be eligible but do not receive a letter, you may visit The Independent Foreclosure Review Website for more information about the review process. The reviews are completely free for all eligible borrowers.

We are pleased that banks are being held accountable for the wrongful acts they’ve committed and hope that this review process provides consumers the justice they deserve. What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below.
